The 2020 vintage (4.5*) is a single-vineyard, Awatere Valley wine, matured in French oak casks (30 per cent new). Full, bright ruby, it is a mouthfilling, very youthful red, with concentrated, vibrant cherry, plum and spice flavours, finely balanced tannins, and obvious potential. Best drinking mid-2023+.
