Review:
The powerful, stylish 2019 vintage (5*) was fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barriques (38 per cent new), and barrel-aged for 11 months. Bright, light lemon/green, it has a fragrant, slightly creamy and smoky bouquet. Mouthfilling, rich, ripe and rounded, it has deep, youthful stone-fruit flavours, enriched with toasty oak, finely balanced acidity, and a long, very harmonious finish. Benchmark stuff, it should be at its best 2024+.
