A consistently good buy. Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (15 per cent new), the 2018 vintage (4*) is a blend principally of Merlot (65 per cent), Cabernet Sauvignon (23 per cent) and Malbec (11 per cent). Full-coloured, it is mouthfilling, with strong, vibrant red-berry and spice flavours, nutty, savoury notes adding complexity, and ripe, supple tannins. A refined red, it should be at its best 2022+.
