Moutere Hills Nelson Pinot Noir (2016)

The fragrant, youthful 2015 vintage (4*) was estate-grown at Upper Moutere and barrel-matured for 11 months. Full ruby, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with finely balanced plum/spice flavours, complex and savoury, and obvious potential; best drinking 2018+. The 2016 vintage (4*) was also barrel-aged for 11 months. Ripely scented, it is elegant and supple, with fresh plum/spice flavours, savoury notes adding complexity, and lots of drink-young appeal.
