Deeply coloured and fragrant, the 2014 vintage (5*) is Awaroa’s first reserve blend of Syrah (65 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (23 per cent), with a splash of Malbec (12 per cent). Matured in all-new French oak barriques, it is powerful, with concentrated, ripe plum, blackcurrant and spice flavours, and fine, silky tannins. Currently delicious.
