Te Whau Vineyard Le Petit Point Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Malbec (2011)

Le Petit Point is the second label of Te Whau, on Waiheke Island, introduced from the challenging 2011 vintage (3.5*). Barrel-aged for over a year, it is a full-bodied wine, lightish in colour, with a slightly leafy bouquet and blackcurrant, plum, herb and spice flavours. It is drinking well now, showing some depth and complexity, with a rounded finish.
