The 2012 vintage (4*) was grown on a steep, north-facing block just south of Havelock North, blended with Viognier (1 per cent), and matured for a year in one-year-old casks. An instantly appealing red, it has strong plum and black-pepper flavours, showing good complexity, and a smooth, lingering finish.
