Estate-grown in the Cromwell Basin, the bottle-aged 2011 vintage (5*) is a ‘spätlese’ style, showing lovely intensity, vigour and harmony. Light in alcohol (8.6 per cent), it is medium-sweet, with a complex bouquet and a tight, elegant, minerally palate. Racy, with intense, lemony, appley, slightly spicy and peachy flavours, it’s drinking well now, but should be very long-lived.
