Clearview Hawke’s Bay Black Reef Blush (2011)

Like a very refreshing light red, this bargain-priced wine is a blend of Bordeaux varieties (mostly Merlot), Syrah and the highly rated French hybrid, Chambourcin. The 2011 vintage (4*) is mouthfilling and basically dry (4.5 grams/litre of residual sugar), with a strong surge of red-berry and plum flavours, deliciously fresh and vibrant.
