Haha Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (2011)

From Fern Ridge Wines, based in Hawke’s Bay, the 2011 vintage (4*) is a wonderful buy. Harvested from low-yielding vines (under 9 tonnes/hectare) in the Wairau Valley, it is mouthfilling and ripely flavoured, with passionfruit/lime characters to the fore and a crisp, dry (3 grams/litre of residual sugar), slightly minerally, lasting finish.
