Nautilus Marlborough Pinot Noir (2009)

The 2009 vintage (4.5*) was sourced mostly from clay slopes on the south side of the Wairau Valley. Hand-picked and matured for 11 months in French oak barriques (30 per cent new), it is deep ruby, savoury and supple, with strong, ripe cherry, spice and nut flavours, showing good complexity and texture. Sweet-fruited and concentrated, it’s built to last; open 2012+.
