Hand-harvested in Martinborough, the 2009 vintage (2.5*) was fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for four months in seasoned oak puncheons. A light, slightly spicy wine, it did not shine in my blind tasting – with Riesling, oak influence often throws the cat among the pigeons.
