Delicious in its youth, the 2020 vintage (5*) was grown in the Awatere Valley and fermented in a mix of stainless steel tanks (61 per cent) and seasoned oak barriques (39 per cent). A sturdy, Alsace-style Pinot Gris, it is scented and vibrantly fruity, with fresh, concentrated stone-fruit flavours, gentle acidity, a sliver of sweetness (12 grams/litre of residual sugar), and a finely balanced, rich finish. Best drinking 2023+. Fine value.
