This is a consistently outstanding wine. Estate-grown, the 2018 vintage (5*) was matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (50 per cent new). Deeply coloured, it is fragrant, mouthfilling and savoury, with dense blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent complexity and structure, and ripe, supple tannins. A refined, youthful, very harmonious red, likely to be long-lived, it's well worth cellaring to 2024+.
