Opening up well, the organically certified, very age-worthy 2019 vintage (4.5*) is a blend of Merlot (68 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (32 per cent), matured for 18 months in oak barriques (25 per cent new). Deeply coloured, with a fresh bouquet, it is mouthfilling and supple, with very generous, ripe blackcurrant and spice flavours, showing considerable complexity. Best drinking 2023+.
