Still extremely youthful, the 2020 vintage (4*) was hand-harvested (mostly from 26 year-old vines) at two sites, in the Wairau Valley and Southern Valleys. Fermented and matured for 11 months in a French oak cuve and concrete egg tanks, it was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Fragrant, it has vibrant, citrusy, slightly appley flavours to the fore, in a subtle, very age-worthy style with fresh acidity and a lively, dry finish. Best drinking 2023+.
