Spy Valley Echelon Marlborough Methode Traditionnelle NV (NV)

Instantly appealing, the very elegant, still youthful wine currently on sale (5*) is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Mostly of 2013 origin, it was fermented and aged for a year in old oak barrels, bottled for its secondary fermentation, and disgorged after six years on its yeast lees. Bright, light lemon/green, it is yeasty and complex, with incisive, citrusy, slightly appley flavours, vibrant, crisp and lasting. Is this Spy Valley's best sparkling yet?
