From Waipara Hills, the 2019 vintage (4*) was estate-grown at Waipara, in North Canterbury, hand-picked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and lees-aged for six months. Bright, light lemon/green, it is full-bodied, with fresh, citrusy, slightly peachy and spicy flavours, showing good intensity and vigour, and a vaguely off-dry (5 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Best drinking 2022+. The 2020 vintage (4*) is a fresh, medium-bodied wine, with strong, citrusy, peachy, spicy flavours, dry (4.4 grams/litre of residual sugar) and crisp. Full of youthful vigour, it's well worth cellaring to 2023+.
