'They say the greatest wines come from the middle of the slope', notes the back label on the 2016 vintage (5*) of this lovely, distinguished red. Estate-grown in the Trig Hill Vineyard, at Bendigo, it is finely perfumed, with deep, youthful colour. Mouthfilling and smooth, with highly concentrated, ripe, plummy, spicy, nutty flavours, it is savoury and well-structured, with a long life ahead. Best drinking 2023+. (There is no 2017 vintage but the label returns from 2018).
