Bright ruby, the 2018 vintage (3.5*) was grown in the Awatere Valley and matured in French oak casks (38 per cent new). It has gentle cherry, spice and nut flavours, showing good complexity, and a smooth finish. Retasted in August 2021, it is probably at its best, with moderate concentration, fresh acidity, and a fragrant, slightly herbal bouquet.
