Passage Rock Sisters (2019)

Still unfolding, the 2019 vintage (4*) is a Waiheke Island blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec, hand-picked at three sites and matured for a year in oak barrels (25 per cent new). Full-coloured, it is mouthfilling and savoury, with fresh, generous, berryish, spicy flavours, showing considerable complexity, and good tannin backbone. Best drinking 2023+.
