Still very youthful, the basically dry 2021 vintage (4.5*) is a single-vineyard wine, estate-grown at Gladstone, in the northern Wairarapa. Bright, light lemon/green, with a fresh, citrusy bouquet, it is medium-bodied, with excellent concentration of delicate, lemony, appley, peachy flavours, fractional sweetness (4.8 grams/litre of residual sugar), and appetising acidity. Showing obvious potential, it's well worth cellaring to 2024+.
