Paddy Borthwick Wairarapa Pinot Noir (2019)

Offering great value, the 2019 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Gladstone, in the northern Wairarapa, and matured for 11 months in French oak casks (30 per cent new). Deeply coloured, it is fragrant, weighty and fruit-packed, with rich, very ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, oak-aging complexity and supple tannins. Already drinking well, it should be long-lived.
