The 2019 vintage (5*) is a rare wine – only 600 bottles exist. Estate-grown at Upper Moutere, it was hand-picked, matured for a year in new French oak barrels, and then aged for another six months in three-year-old French oak barrels. A very powerful expression of Pinot Noir, it is deeply coloured and sweet-fruited, with substantial body and dense, youthful cherry, plum and spice flavours. Almost Syrah-like, it should flourish with lengthy cellaring.
