From vines planted in 1999 at Upper Moutere, the 2020 vintage (5*) was fermented and matured on its yeast lees for 10 months in clay amphorae (an ancient winemaking technique), rather than stainless steel tanks or oak barrels. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a distinctive, classy wine, celebrating restraint and delicacy, with deep, citrusy, peachy flavours, dry, finely textured and lasting.
