Maison Noire Hawke's Bay Chardonnay Fraicheur (2021)

"Fraicheur" is French for "freshness". The 2021 vintage (3.5*), labelled as "simple yet full of vibrancy", is a single-vineyard wine, hand-picked at Puketapu and handled entirely in stainless steel tanks. Light lemon/green, it is medium to full-bodied, with fresh, citrusy, peachy, slightly spicy flavours, crisp and lively. Enjoyable young, it has a Chablis-like appeal.
