Estate-grown near Waipawa, the 2020 vintage (4.5*) was fermented in tanks and seasoned oak barriques. Freshly scented, it is mouthfilling, with very good intensity of lively pear, lychee and spice flavours, savoury notes adding complexity, balanced acidity and a dryish (8 grams/litre of residual sugar), sustained finish. Already highly enjoyable, it's also well worth cellaring.
