Johanneshof Marlborough Chardonnay (2018)

The 2018 vintage (3.5*) is the first Chardonnay from Johanneshof in nearly 20 years – the fruit was until recently all reserved for the company's sparkling Blanc de Blancs. Bright yellow/green, it was hand-picked and French oak-aged for eight months. A distinctive wine, it has strong, peachy, slightly toasty, vaguely honeyed flavours, threaded with appetising acidity. Ready.
