Past vintages have been mostly barrel-fermented, but the 2020 (4*) is 'all about the grape, showcasing peach and citrus flavours', with 'minimal oak influence.' Weighty and smooth, it is vibrantly fruity, with strong, citrusy, slightly appley flavours to the fore, mealy and leesy notes adding a touch of complexity, fresh acidity and a slightly creamy texture. A distinctive wine, that could easily be mistaken for a Chardonnay from further south, it's a drink now or cellaring proposition.
