Elephant Hill Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris (2019)

Drinking well now, the 2019 vintage (4*) is a blend of Pinot Gris (87 per cent) and Viognier (13 per cent), estate-grown at Te Awanga and matured on its yeast lees for 10 months in tanks. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a mouthfilling, fleshy, slightly Chardonnay-like wine, with good concentration of ripe, peachy, slightly spicy flavours, and slightly toasty, bottle-aged notes adding complexity.
