Carrick The Magnetic Central Otago Pinot Noir (2018)

Full of personality, the 2018 vintage (5*) is based on the Abel clone of Pinot Noir, estate-grown at Bannockburn and matured for nine months in seven French oak barrels (one new). Deep and fairly youthful in colour, it has a fragrant, slightly earthy bouquet. Full-bodied, it has fresh, rich cherry, plum and spice flavours, a hint of liquorice, and impressive vigour, depth and complexity. A very ageworthy red, it should be at its best 2024+. Certified organic.
