Estate-grown in the vineyard previously known as Julicher, the 2018 vintage (4.5*) was hand-picked and matured in French oak barriques. Full, bright ruby, it is fragrant and savoury, with youthful, ripe cherry, plum, spice and nutty oak flavours, finely balanced tannins and good complexity. A very ageworthy red, it should be at its best 2023+.
