The very ageworthy 2018 vintage (4.5*) of this 'Special Reserve' red was estate-grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle. Harvested from young Syrah vines (three years old), and blended with a splash of Viognier (1 per cent, to enhance florality), it was matured for 10 months in French oak puncheons and barriques. Full-coloured, with a fragrant, spicy bouquet, it is mouthfilling and strongly varietal, with deep, vibrant, plummy, spicy flavours, fresh acidity and smooth tannins. Enjoyable young, it's well worth cellaring to 2023+.
