Well worth discovering, the 2020 vintage (5*) is rare – only 300 bottles were produced. Estate-grown in the Home Block at Kerikeri, it was blended with a splash of Petit Manseng (5 per cent), and fermented and matured for 10 months in a single oak barrique. Bright, light yellow/green, it is full-bodied and fleshy, with concentrated, ripe, stonefruit and nut flavours, balanced acidity, and a rich, rounded finish. A vigorous, still youthful wine, it should break into full stride 2023+. (The 2021 vintage will include Roussanne).
