Already drinking well, the distinctive 2019 vintage (4.5*) is an estate-grown Northland blend of mostly Sangiovese and Montepulciano, with lesser amounts of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Hand-picked and barrique-aged for a year, it is full-coloured, fresh, mouthfilling and smooth, with blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent ripeness and depth, and a welcoming fragrance. Best drinking 2022+.
