The Hunting Lodge, Waimauku Home Block Liberated Sauvignon Blanc (2018)

Still unfolding, the distinctive 2018 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown in West Auckland, hand-picked, barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and lees-aged in oak for nine months. Bright yellow/green, with a complex bouquet, it is fleshy, with deep, ripe tropical-fruit flavours to the fore, and good vigour and cellaring potential. Best drinking 2022+.
