Ted by Mount Edward Central Otago Pinot Noir (2019)

Certified organic, the instantly enjoyable 2018 vintage (4.5*) was matured for 11 months in French oak casks (15 per cent new). Ruby-hued, with a fragrant, slightly herbal bouquet, it is mouthfilling and supple, with concentrated, ripe flavours, savoury and nutty notes adding complexity, and loads of drink-young charm. The 2019 vintage (4.5*) is 'delicious, ready and yours', says the back label. Matured for 10-11 months in French oak casks (18 per cent new), it is deep ruby, with a fragrant, fresh, spicy bouquet. A bold, very youthful wine, packed with berryish, spicy flavour, it's well worth cellaring to 2022+. Certified organic.
