This distinguished Rhône-style blend is estate-grown at Onetangi and matured for a year in French oak barriques (30 per cent new in 2015). The most recent vintage I have tasted is the 2015 (5*). Deeply coloured, it is sturdy (14.5 per cent alcohol), vibrantly fruity and supple, with dense plum and spice flavours, complex and savoury, and ripe, supple tannins. Very finely textured and harmonious, it should be at its best 2021+.
