This single-vineyard wine is from vines planted in 1988. At its best, it is an authoritative wine, weighty and concentrated, with strong personality. Already highly expressive, the 2018 vintage (5*) was fermented and matured for 10 months in French oak casks (30 per cent new), and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. Pale gold, it is a powerful, lush, weighty style with concentrated, peachy, toasty flavours, showing very good complexity, and a rounded finish.
