Retasted in 2020, this distinctive, non-vintage wine (3*) is a blend of 2016 and 2017 vintages. Merlot-based (50 per cent), with Cabernet Franc (40 per cent) and Tannat (10 per cent), it was hand-picked in the Far North and matured for two years in French (mostly) and American oak casks (25 per cent new). Very developed in colour, it is a distinctive, gutsy, full-flavoured wine, with hints of liquorice and spices, and moderately firm tannins. Savoury and mellow, it tastes ready.
