Certified organic, the 2017 vintage (4*) was estate-grown at Brightwater, in Nelson, and fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels (20 per cent new). Light lemon/green, it is an elegant, lemon-scented, full-bodied wine, with strong, vibrant grapefruit and peach flavours, a subtle seasoning of oak, and fresh acidity. It's drinking well now.
