Julicher Martinborough Pinot Noir (2016)

Still unfolding, the 2016 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Te Muna and matured in French oak casks (30 per cent new). Bright ruby, it is sweet-fruited, savoury and supple, with ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent depth and complexity, and a harmonious, rounded finish. Best drinking 2021+.
