Jules Taylor Marlborough Pinot Noir (2019)

The 2019 vintage (4.5*) was mostly hand-harvested in the Southern Valleys and partly matured for nine months in French oak barriques. Deep, bright ruby, with a slightly funky bouquet, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with very good density of plummy, spicy flavours, and savoury notes adding complexity. Approachable young, it should be at its best for drinking 2022+.
