A very good, drink-young style, the 2019 vintage (4*) was estate-grown and hand-harvested at Rapaura, in the Wairau Valley, and briefly barrel-aged. 'Designed to be drunk now', it is deep ruby, sweet-fruited and supple, with rich cherry, plum and spice flavours. Exuberantly fruity, with gentle tannins, it's a distinctive wine, priced right.
