Hans Herzog Marlborough Pinot Noir Grand Duc (2015)

The highly impressive 2015 vintage (5*) was estate-grown in the Wairau Valley, hand-harvested, matured for 22 months in French oak barriques, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Fragrant and deeply coloured, it is sweet-fruited and complex, with finely balanced tannins, and deep cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours. A powerful, savoury red, it's currently delicious, but should be at its best 2021+. Certified organic.
