The 2017 vintage (4*) from this Nelson-based producer was grown at Waipara and matured for a year in French oak casks (30 per cent new). Deep ruby, with a fresh bouquet of herbs and spices, it is full-bodied, with very good depth of cherry, plum and spice flavours, savoury, earthy notes adding complexity, and a moderately firm finish.
