Gibbston Valley Gold River Central Otago Pinot Noir (2019)

This is the winery's 'lighter' red, for 'immediate enjoyment'. The 2019 vintage (4*) was grown at Gibbston (50 per cent) and Bendigo (50 per cent), hand-picked and matured for nine months in seasoned oak casks. Bright ruby, it is full-bodied and sweet-fruited, with vibrant cherry, plum and spice flavours, fresh and well-rounded. A generous, youthful red, it should be at its best mid-2021+.
