A wine to ponder over, the classy 2019 vintage (5*) is a single-vineyard Bendigo wine, estate-grown at 320 metres above sea level, and hand-picked solely from highly regarded clone 95 vines. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barriques and puncheons (25 per cent new), and barrel-aged for 11 months, it is a highly refined wine, bright, light yellow/green, with deep, ripe, peachy, biscuity flavours, showing excellent complexity and harmony, balanced acidity, and a long finish. Well worth cellaring.
