The classy 2017 vintage (5*) of this Brancott Valley red was hand-harvested and matured in French oak casks (33 per cent new). Deep ruby, it is fragrant, generous and savoury, with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing good complexity, fresh acidity, and a well-structured, powerful finish. Very age-worthy, it should be at its best 2022+.
