From a long-established producer at Henderson, in West Auckland, the 2018 vintage (3*) was French oak-aged for a year. An easy-drinking style, it has fullish colour, with decent depth of ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, a touch of complexity, and a smooth finish. Drink now or cellar.
